But as he anticipates the pleasure of the mysterious event, his excitement increases to the point that when they enter the hall he is determined to get what he wants. By the time Matt discovers the “Warning”, Lester has passed the “no turning back” point.

And life is a great opportunity; it’s filled with countless other opportunities. Like Lester, sadly, we get used to looking for pleasure that is short-lived and will all too often be of no benefit to us. Thus we trade valuable pieces of our lives for the thrill and excitement, disregarding the future consequences.
